No!  Our goal is to keep our fee structure simple and reasonable for all our clients – no matter your filing status.  We do not charge additional fees if clients are married and they are better off filing their tax return joint or separate.  We will analyze the differences between the two filing statuses and review the outcome with our clients before filing the tax return.  We will also discuss implications of filing joint vs. separate based on client’s personal circumstances – such as preparing for a divorce or if a spouse is needing to divide themselves from the other spouse’s tax liability.
